Derek has been working on prestige vehicles since 1982. Having completed his apprenticeship in Ireland he has worked in the UK with race teams in F3 and specialist VW/Audi workshops. Since comming to Australia in 1988 he has stuck to specialising in VW/Audi and BMW. With an 8 year interlude in racing in Australia European Autotech was opened in 2001.
A winner of many awards for the quality of his work, Derek has proven his dedication and skills in the motor industry. Derek has also demonstrated his attention to detail and engineering capabilities in the highly competitive motor racing environment, where he enjoyed success as chief engineer on Formula 3 cars.
We are members of the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association and also the Performance, Racing and Tuning Council.
