E36 316i Wheels Upgrade?

Hi Guys,
Just wondering if E36 M3 style 17" rims would fit an E36 316i compact? Also, do E46 rims fit E36? I believe stud pattern is the same, just not sure about offsets etc.

By no means an expert but the e36 m3 wheels should fit ok on the front, it would be worth checking the rears because the compacts have a different rear suspension to the other models although i cant imagine they would need different wheel offsets on the same series to make production easier. You could always ask a tyre shop about the offsets you can run as they will be the ones doing the tyres.
