BMW X5 4.8is Rare sports model. I am the 2nd owner & only selling as I am getting a company car with a new job.

Car has full BMW service history and just had its last full warranty service by BMW Auto Classic.

The 4.8is is the premier sports optioned model in the X5 range and it is rare to find one with such low kilometres for a 2006.
Being a 2006 with a build date of April 2006, it is one of the very latest of the outgoing model to roll off the factory floor. As it only has low km's (69,000), this is a very good condition car and will be for a long time.

It has been very well maintained and looked after, every 6 months I have had the car professionally detailed (exterior and engine bay). The interior is almost new and the leather seats are very well looked after. Don’t even think the back seats have ever been used!

The sound of the 4.8-litre 265kW, V8 as it fires into life with a very distinct rumble and burble is the highlight of this car - it's a very special noise and a pleasure to start up every morning. Surprisingly this car is very fuel efficient for a V8 Sports SUV.

My 4.8is has all the standard options you’d expect on a “top of the range” BMW model including a huge panoramic sunroof, satellite navigation, TV receiver (wide screen and digital), Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, leather, climate control, 3 level suspension and power windows. Convenience items such as park distance sensors, auto Bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, rain sensing wipers, electrically-adjustable seats and steering wheel multi memory positions are all standard. Additional factory options on this vehicle are reversing camera, tow-bar, luggage compartment protector and tonneau cover. Also includes auto entry and alarm, auto folding mirrors and heating for the front sports seats.

If you want the perfect mix of a luxury family car, executive sports car with performance and handling and comfortable highway drives this is the car for you. Any inspection is welcome.

It's a tough market out there... What are you changing to?

It must be tough, as I paid 77K for this car a little over a year ago!

Am looking at the auidi A4 or A8 early 2000 model or a BMW 540i. Not sure which one yet, however which ever good condition one I find may be the one

I suppose as it's a buyers market, you might be selling lower than you want, but on the flip side, the car you should be buying (especially if it's second hand) should also be cheaper (and therefor, cheaper transfer costs!)

Ok, price drop to 55K for OZBMW members! Advertised on CarPoint for 57K.

If I can't sell it, I might just have to keep it!

if you can't flog it, stick a decent exhaust and suspension on it... My business partner has one, sounds awesome and goes like the clappers!

What type of suspension would you put on it out of curiosity? It already has self leveling sports suspension...

    From my mater yesterday..

"The rear has self levelling air suspension - so we have left that standard but dropped it by 30mm - you need to get someone who knows what they are doing to do this as it is a closed loop system to get the self levelling to work ... there IS an eleectronic method of doing it too but I never had the time to tinker with it.

The front has new Eibach springs which has dropped the front by 30mm - it has firmed it up and it is a bit rough a ride compared to standard. Standard suspension set up was very good I thought. (recall ours is the 4.4 litre so other models might be different."

thanks for that. As mine is the 4.8is think it is a differant suspension setup. I know the air suspension works on the front and back.

On another note, for some reason my insurance company keeps telling the market value is going up!!! I purchased it for 77K, a year later they said market value was 85K and today they told me it was 92K. When I questioned them why, they said it must be a special model.

So... there you go, even my inssurance company recognises the value of this awsome car

Anyone else here want a piece of the action
