Default BMW MULF2 High Basis SVS Bluetooth Module Dead

    Hi,
My MULF2 High Basis SVS Bluetooth Module died from flooding of the spare wheel well. This was the state of the car when I got it, so I have no idea what should and shouldn't be working because of it.
I have a few questions regarding this if people can please help?
    1. Is my belief the MULF2 unit is a Bluetooth add-on to the standard Bluetooth unit I also have sitting in the left hand side of the boot near the rear wheel? If it is, what extras does the MULF2 give?
    2. I have a CD changer in the glove box, would fitting a Denson Gateway there be a better option than getting and fitting a replacement MULF2?
    3. I also a video TV Tuner unit on the left hand side if the boot. The video works, but I can't get any sound (the radio works fine). Is it possible the dead MULF2 and its fibre connection being dead would kill the sound of the TV Tuner Unit?
    4. If the dead MULF2 is killing the TV sound, is there a way to remove it from the CIC (it is a CIC not a CCC system), like a fibre loop back, that would fix it?
Thank you for taking to time to read my questions.
    Cheers,
    Markus
